The challenge

Compound Equity Group came to us in April 2024 as a new investment group. The founder had an idea for a logo, and the team needed a website.

Before there could be a website, there had to be a brand that would work on screen, in a presentation and in print.

What we did

We created the brand, then designed the website and Compound’s company presentation in it. Kickoff was on April 30, 2024 and the logo was approved three weeks later. The website went live on July 7, 2025.

The brand

The logo started from the founder’s own idea. We developed it over three rounds into a mark based on oak trees, which suits a group that holds investments for the long term.

The palette is built around green, with an accent color for charts and data so figures stand out from the rest of the page.

The website

We wireframed the site in May and June 2024 and designed it in July. The site has pages for fund factsheets, letters and reports, media and an About page explaining who Compound is.

Photographs of oak canopies appear on the home and About pages, next to the deep green of the palette.

Beyond the website

In August 2024 we redesigned Compound’s company presentation in the new brand. After launch we designed email signatures for the team and supplied vector files of the logo for Compound’s signage.

The brand is still in use. Compound’s website today keeps the logo, palette and page layouts we designed.

How it went

From brief to launch

The project ran from April 2024 to a launch in July 2025, with a pause in late 2024. These are the main stages, in order.

  1. The brief

Compound came to us in April 2024. They were a new investment group with an idea for a logo, and they needed a brand and a website to go with it.

  2. The logo

We developed the founder's idea over three rounds into a mark based on oak trees, a reference to holding investments patiently while they grow. It was approved on May 21, 2024.

  3. The palette

We built a green palette around the logo, with an accent color for charts and data.

  4. Wireframes and designs

We wireframed the site in May and June 2024, then designed every page. The designs were finished at the end of July.

  5. The company presentation

In August 2024 we redesigned Compound's company presentation in the new brand, so the slides and the website match.

  6. A pause and new content

Work paused from September 2024. When it restarted in March 2025, Compound had new content, and we designed the pages around it.

  7. Launch

The website went live on July 7, 2025.

  8. Email signatures and signage

After launch we designed email signatures for the team and supplied vector files of the logo for Compound's signage.
